NetSuite, run by someone who closes the books in it

Most NetSuite help is technical people who have never closed a month, or accountants who cannot build a saved search. I do both.

Where NetSuite files usually hurt

The system is rarely the problem. The setup and the habits around it are.

The chart of accounts and segments were set up by someone who has left

Reports do not tie to the general ledger and nobody knows why

Approvals are routed to people who no longer work there

Month end takes two weeks because half of it is manual

Bank reconciliations sit unfinished for months

You are paying a partner hourly for changes that take twenty minutes

What is included

Administration and accounting in the same pair of hands.

Setup and cleanup

Chart of accounts, subsidiaries, segments, and classifications structured so reporting works without exports and manual rework.

Saved searches and reports

The reports you actually need, built to tie to the general ledger, with the drill down left intact.

Approvals and workflow

Purchase and expense approvals routed to the right people, with the limits you set.

Bank and account reconciliations

Feeds, matching rules, and a monthly reconciliation that closes rather than carrying forward mysteries.

Month end close

A close checklist, accruals, and the journal entries prepared and reviewed on a schedule.

User training

Short sessions for your team on the parts they touch, so the file stops getting broken between closes.

If a report does not tie to the general ledger, it is not a report. It is an opinion.

How this runs

Health check

I go through the file and come back with a plain list of what is broken, what is risky, and what is fine.

Fix in priority order

Reconciliations and reporting first, then workflow and automation. You approve each block of work before it starts.

Ongoing administration

Monthly close support and a standing block of admin time, so small changes do not wait for a partner quote.

Questions about NetSuite

Are you a NetSuite partner?

No. I am an administrator level user and a CPA who works inside NetSuite daily. For large implementations you want a partner, and I am happy to work alongside one.

Can you move us from QuickBooks to NetSuite?

Migration projects are best run with an implementation partner. My strength is administration, cleanup, and reconciliation once you are on the system.

Do you work with our internal controller?

Often, yes. Many engagements are supporting an internal finance person who needs the system side handled.

How is this billed?

Either a monthly block of hours or a fixed fee for a defined project. You will know the number before work starts.

Book a NetSuite health check

Twenty minutes to hear what is not working. If it is a quick fix I will tell you how to do it yourself.
